Pair of vintage French Louis the 16th style armchairs perfect green velvet
On Offer here is this pair of vintage French 1950s green painted Louis XVI style armchairs. Classic Louis XVI style chairs with carved decorations scrolls and carved the ribbons and acanthus leaves with Eidelweiss carved into the crest rail on the back of the seats. The upholster panels are held into place with brass or nickel headed tacks. As they are at the moment they are in fantastic condition. I imagine the material is original it's a green velvet type of material which obviously complements the painted green frame. The seat is sprung firm but comfortable there are padded elbow pads on the arms and even the back panel is upholstered in the green velvet. The overall condition of the chairs is sound in fact a solid is the day we left the workshop. Material is odourless and clean in fact it's lovely and tactile as well.
