A charming pair of mid-century modern children's chairs, designed by Jacques Hitier, circa 1949. This "Mobilor" model was a precursor to Hitier's iconic "Mullca 300" chair - The main difference being the curved back legs.
These were some of the first chairs ever designed using steel tubes as reinforcement and support. They were produced for use in public and commercial spaces such as schools, libraries, hospitals and hotels. These chairs are in good condition, with age related wear and tear to the finish, giving an attractive patina. One chair has a small chip to the laminate seat (see picture), however this isn't very noticable and doesn't detract from the appearance.
The chairs will be delivered using a specialist UK courier, fully tracked and insured.
