GORGEOUS OLD RUSTIC FRENCH COUNTRY FARMHOUSE SCRUBBED TOP TABLE AND BENCH SET c1900. This stunning Old Farmhouse Table was made in France around 1900.

Beautifully crafted to a classic design the table is made from a pale hardwood which we think may be Chestnut (It's very similar in density and colour to oak, but without the tell-tale flecks in the grain). It features a single drawer on one of the long sides and has painted legs and skirt. The top has many stains, scratches and bumps giving it a wonderful character and charm. It's been very well used, but is very strong and sturdy.

There are some old worm holes mainly in the legs, but these have been thoroughly treated as a precautionary measure. The benches are made from oak and are not as old as the table, around 30 years is our guess. They have been crafted in the same style as the table and fit snuggly underneath when not in use. Please take time to study the photographs as these form part of the description.

The table measures 198 cm long, 82 cm wide and is 76. The gap between the underside of the skirt and the floor is 59 cm. The benches measure 173 cm long, 32 cm wide, 46 cm high.
