French Art Deco Walnut Sofa Club Chair Lounge Salon Suite Set

Lovely French Art Deco two seater sofa and club chair set with carved arm rests. The set is walnut, with the legs and carved arm rests and back rails being solid walnut, while the curved front immediately under the upholstery is walnut veneer. The upholstery is not original but has an Art Deco flavour to it.

There is a small nick out of the hand rest to one of the chairs as pictured, otherwise the other marks and dinks are very minor and consistent with age. The veneer has a couple of minor cracks, but none missing. The whole set is solid, without wobbles, and the upholstery is clean and without pulls or tears.

The cushions are plump and down-filled. They are also removable by way of zip, and I have actually machine washed them on a gentle cycle without incident. I have also previously wet-washed the non-removable upholstery with a Vax and while it goes a radically different colour when wet, it dries back to the original colour. So in essence, I would describe the set as washable. Chair width at widest 33.5. Chair seat cushion depth 23.
