Antique Seed Merchant Drawers, Apothecary Drawers
Antique Seed Merchant Drawers, Apothecary Drawers. These are in untouched condition. Originally a horticultural seed chest for the storage of plant seeds. Obviously it's been used in another retail setting I guess, possibly a hardware shop as the handles and drawer fronts have different knobs, I would think to represent the contents of the drawers. Most of the drawers have remains of old labels, most in German.
These are in as found condition condition, from France. The unit stands on 2 front turned feet which appear to be original and 2 back feet, which appear to have been added later.
