Antique Carved & painted wood French Louis XVI style Armchair 1950s

On offer here is this fantastic single French style carved gilt wood armchair Original silk fabric. 98cm tall X 75cm wide X 83cm deep. Seat height 44 cm seat depth 53 cm.

Made in France sometime in the 1950s this French Louis 16th style armchair is made in the traditional style as French furniture from the 19th century. Carved in beautiful detail with roses Eidelweiss, foliage and scrolls typical of the Louis the 16th style.

And then painted in white wood highlighted in gold gold. It is upholstered in High quality silk all of these things are an indication of the quality of this piece of furniture.

The chair is as solid as the day it left the Workshop, I have to point out there are a few chips On the paint, this is in keeping with its age, I don't mind this personally I think it adds a little atmosphere. There is one little area of glue top right on the back panel apart from that and a small tiny mark on the seat the fabric is in good condition.
