Antique Beautiful French Cinema Theatre Chair Original Red Velour Gold Painted

From Normandy, France, brought over a number of years ago to the UK. The velour is original to the chair and is in remarkable condition given its age, with a deep-red trim banding in the fabric to complement the paintwork. The hardware fixings were once painted a bright gold, and have developed a beautiful patina over the years. The chair has been hoovered, lightly cleaned and had its fixings waxed in preparation for sale. Perfect for display or for use; as the seat is spring-loaded and folds up, the chair takes up an area of only 60cm by 45cm.

The padded seat cushion, retaining its original springs, has an area of 44cm x 44cm and is a generous 15cm thick. The chair is 85cm tall. It weighs 25.1kg, so this is being listed as collection only.
