A FRENCH ANTIQUE WRITING TABLE. Well this is one table which won't be ignored. Having drawers to one side and faux drawers to the other, it can stand in the centre of a room or of course be used as a side table. Metal mounts and decorative cast handles really sit nicely on the mellow coloured timbers, as do the gorgeous brass edges. There's a tooled leather insert and all this is raised on classic slender cabriole legs. This beauty is in lovely sound condition with subtle signs of ageing. It dates mid to late 20th Century.
