This listing is for a beautiful and classic french farmhouse table that probably dates from the late 19th or early 20th century. Made according to time honoured traditional methods the legs are pegged to the frame. The pine is a lovely warm tone and relatively heavy.
The two drawers that line one side have delicate but simple button handles. The legs are straight rather than tapering. The table has great proportions and is a fantastic size.
Condition: There is evidence of historic woodworm but not to the degree where it has weakened the timber. There is no evidence of it being live and I have owned the table for some time and would have noticed any new signs. There are odd scratches and knocks but this is only to be expected from a table of this age. There is a slight gap between the planks at one end but it remains solid.
One leg looks to have been professionally restored sometime in the past with and arrow shaped repair. It is barely visible and can only be seen under close scrutiny. Please take a look at the photos to have a better idea of the condition of this table.
